Lights for SketchUp

A set of light fittings and light-wash effects for Sketchup.  To aid fast design and presentation for bespoke fitted furniture makers and interior designers without the need for a rendering plug-in.  Compatible with all recent versions of SketchUp, going back to 2021, including the current free web app version.

As with all our SketchUp components, everything has been set up for you with great care, so you get maximum functionality with minimum fuss!  

You can open the example SketchUp file with a bookcase containing all the lights.

Or you can use the provided folder of individual light components, all clearly described, from a components browser within SketchUp.

All light components have axis positions/insert points that make it easy to place the light on the surface where you want it after importing from your component browser.

All light components have a rational tagging structure, making it easy to 'switch on' or 'switch off' all lights in your model via a single tag visibility control.

The 6 lights which have been designed for fitting within shelf spaces are built as dynamic components with clever scaling functionality.  Just tap 'S' on your keyboard to reveal a limited set of grab handles making it easy to fit the light to the opening. 

For the components that include an aluminium profile or spotlight, these elements will not distort, even if you enlarge the component to get your preferred light spread appearance.

It's up to you whether you want to use the components that include the lighting hardware, or just use the simple light wash, light spread, or light cone components for the light effect only.
